Bodily Knowledge in the Sketchbook Work

for the Design of Haute Couture Bags:

Prima Ballerina Shoe Collection as a Starting Point

In my final thesis I investigated how bodily knowledge derived through dance could be used in a creative sketchbook process. Inspired by my background in ballet as well as previously designed Prima Ballerina -shoe collection, I incorporated dance and somatic methods, particularly Bartenieff Fundamentals, with rococo and ballet elements in an endvour to create a truly unique bag collection.
