Makeup look using Urban Decay
Today I created a look using Urban Decay's collaboration palette with Jean-Michel Basquiat. The collaboration contains two eyeshadow palettes with eight shadows inspired by Jean-Michel's artworks, three lipsticks, blush palette and three Glide-on eye pencils. I have the Gold Griot palette and that's the only item from the collection I have and going to use in this look.
So this is the Gold Griot palette. As you can see on the packaging there is a Basquiat's artwork and the actual colours in the palette goes with the colours of the packaging. There is also a dual ended brush and a mirror in the palette.
Colours in this palette are quite wearable but you're still able to create a good darker smokey eye. This palette contains five matte shades and three shimmery shades.
Next you'll see the look I created with this palette. I used blue tones and yellow mainly.
Winged out blending and light halo effect is my standard eye look. I started with enigma (lightest colour) and levitation (light brown) on the crease and then took BK (lighter blue) on the outer and inner parts of the eye leaving blank space in the middle of the eye lid. The I felt it was too light so I took pseudonym (darkest blue) on the outer and inner parts of the eye. And lastly I added some crown (shimmery yellow) in the middle of the eye were I left the blank area earlier. For inner corner highlight and brow bone I used NYX's illuminating palette.
This is a really good palette and I think it's worth the money. I like the artwork on the palette and it's a very cool collaboration.
